Baseball Recap: Fairview Starts Season with Victory Against Oil City

Fairview had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Oil City Oilers on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Oilers: they've now won five in a row.

Liam Hermann was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Stevens, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairview will venture away from home to take on Sharpsville at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Oil City, they will head out to challenge Clarion-Limestone at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
