Baseball Recap: Brownstown Central Has No Trouble Against North Harrison

Brownstown Central lost to North Harrison back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Braves put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 9-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Grant Killey made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kye Trueblood, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Preston Garrison was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Brownstown Central now has a winning record of 2-1. As for North Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Brownstown Central will take on Eastern at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Harrison, they will challenge Orleans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
