Baseball Game Preview: Pomona Red Devils vs. La Puente Warriors

For the second straight game, Pomona will face off against La Puente. The Red Devils will be playing at home against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pomona has three straight wins, La Puente has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Pomona gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over La Puente.

Pomona saw ten different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael De La Vega, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Those three hits gave De La Vega a new career-high. Another was Ivan Lopez, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Pomona kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Pomona's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for La Puente, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
