Soccer Game Preview: Clear Springs vs. Brazoswood

The Clear Springs Chargers will take on the Brazoswood Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Clear Springs came up short against Clear Lake and fell 4-2. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Falcons are ranked 55th).

Meanwhile, Brazoswood hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They and Clear Falls finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw. That draw made it three straight for the Buccaneers.

Their goal came courtesy of Jon Adamez Cabana, who's now up to three this season.

Clear Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-3-4. With that draw, Brazoswood's record moves to 8-0-3.

Clear Springs beat Brazoswood 2-0 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Does Clear Springs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brazoswood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
