Basketball Recap: Rib Lake Gets the Win

Rib Lake hadn't done well against Gilman recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Rib Lake Redmen walked away with a 57-45 win over the Gilman Pirates. This was payback for the Redmen, who suffered a 60-55 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Gilman still got an impressive performance from Kayleigh James, who posted 17 points. Reece Weir was another key player, putting up four points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Rib Lake's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Gilman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Rib Lake has already played their next contest, a 61-44 defeat against Phillips on the 7th. As for Gilman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-36 win against Thorp on the 7th.
