Basketball Recap: Grosse Pointe North Comes Up Short

Grosse Pointe North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 55-31 to the Utica Ford Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Norsemen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while the Falcons are ranked 23rd).

Grosse Pointe North's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Utica Ford, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grosse Pointe North will face off against L'Anse Creuse North at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. L'Anse Creuse North has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Utica Ford, they will be playing at home against Fitzgerald at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
