Orland snaps seven-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Orland Trojans vs. Woodland Christian Cardinals

The Orland Trojans and the Woodland Christian Cardinals squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Orland Trojans had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Cardinals at home and fell 28-0. Orland's loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Diego Rico threw for 44 yards on six of 13 attempts.

Woodland Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Hunt, who rushed for 103 yards on only 14 carries, and also threw for 72 yards and a touchdown. That's the first time this season that Hunt rushed for 100 or more yards. Devin Herrera was another key contributor, gaining 118 total yards and a touchdown.

Orland's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2. As for Woodland Christian, their win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0.

Orland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Woodland Christian is on the road again on Saturday and play against Banning at 3:00 p.m. on December 9th. Banning is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
