Basketball Recap: Russell Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Russell hadn't done well against Gallatin recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Russell Rustlers walked away with a 66-57 win over the Gallatin Raptors. The victory was nothing new for the Rustlers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Russell's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Gallatin, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.

Russell will welcome Great Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Russell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Great Falls likes a good challenge. As for Gallatin, they will head out to face off against Bozeman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
