Baseball Game Preview: East Nashville Magnet Eagles vs. Harpeth Indians

For the second straight game, East Nashville Magnet will face off against Harpeth. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Nashville Magnet is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

On Monday, East Nashville Magnet was able to grind out a solid win over Harpeth, taking the game 5-2.

Calvin Bibby made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Alexander Griffey was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. William McCann also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

East Nashville Magnet's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Harpeth, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-9.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. East Nashville Magnet has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Harpeth struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
