Volleyball Game Preview: Whiteville Wolfpack vs. North Brunswick Scorpions

The Whiteville Wolfpack will head out to take on the North Brunswick Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Whiteville can't be too happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to New Hanover.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19, 25-12.

Meanwhile, North Brunswick came up short against Heide Trask on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Scorpions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Brunswick was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Heide Trask work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 19-25, 26-24, 25-23.

Whiteville was able to grind out a solid victory over North Brunswick in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolfpack since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
