Basketball Game Preview: Casey County Rebels vs. Danville Admirals

Casey County hasn't had much luck against Danville recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Casey County Rebels will take on the Danville Admirals at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Casey County will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Mercer County, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. Casey County walked away with a 53-40 victory over Mercer County on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Danville). They claimed a resounding 80-43 win over East Jessamine. The victory continues a trend for the Admirals in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won five in a row.

Danville's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-16. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Casey County, their record now sits at 9-15.

Casey County lost to Danville on the road by a decisive 58-41 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Casey County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
