Volleyball Recap: Banneker Takes a Loss

Banneker entered their match against Clarkston on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Angoras. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Angoras when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Banneker was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23.

Banneker's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Clarkston, they moved to 4-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

After both having extra time off, Banneker and Washington will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clarkston, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Forest Park on the 21st.
