Softball Recap: Lackey Falls Short of Decatur in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lackey can now relate to. They lost 14-0 to the Decatur Seahawks on Friday. Considering the last time the Chargers couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Lackey's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Decatur, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Lackey didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-0 defeat against Huntingtown on the 17th. As for Decatur, they will square off against Damascus on Tuesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Seahawks surely won't give up without a fight.
