Basketball Recap: Bryan County Comes Up Short

Bryan County lost against Savannah back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bryan County Redskins fell to the Savannah Bluejackets 51-45. While the Redskins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bluejackets 17-13 in the first quarter.

Savannah's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deshawn Davis, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds. Davis has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 25 times he's played. Zy Smart was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Bryan County's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Savannah, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Bryan County nor Savannah have any future games scheduled.
