Softball Recap: California Military Institute Takes a Loss

California Military Institute was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-4 to the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 back in March.

Hennessy Vasquez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Bella Delgado was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.

California Military Institute's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Santa Rosa Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. California Military Institute will head out to take on Lakeside at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Rosa Academy, they will square off against Temecula Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
