Football Recap: Cole Takes a Loss

Cole lost against Randolph back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars lost 28-7 to the Ro-Hawks. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Karson Scroggins threw for 160 yards and one touchdown. Xavier Moise was his top target, picking up 72 receiving yards. On the ground, Michael Ibeabuchi rushed for 64 yards.

Cole now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Randolph, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, after each having a week off, Cole and Hondo will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. The Cougars' defense better be ready for this one: the Owls have averaged an impressive 38.8 points per game this season. As for Randolph, they will be playing at home against Ingram Moore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ro-Hawks will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.4 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
