Soccer Recap: Huntley Falls Short Against Ranked Geneva

Huntley faced Geneva in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Red Raiders fell 4-2 to the Vikings. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Huntley couldn't quite close it out.

Having lost for the first time this season, Huntley fell to 9-1-2. As for Geneva, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-2 record this season.

Huntley wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Central on the 7th. As for Geneva, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Wheaton North on the 7th.
