Volleyball Game Preview: Mayfield Panthers vs. Middleburgh Knights + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the Mayfield Panthers and the Middleburgh Knights will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mayfield lost 3-0 to Cobleskill-Richmondville on Wednesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Mayfield took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Middleburgh came up short against Loudonville Christian on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Knights have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Mayfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-3. As for Middleburgh, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Mayfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Middleburgh when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
