It was a good run, but Parkside unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to the Decatur Seahawks 52-46. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 61-39 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Davin Chandler, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 boards for Decatur. That makes it four consecutive games in which Chandler has scored at least a third of Decatur's points. Jonathan Purnell was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Parkside's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Decatur, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Parkside will square off against Mardela at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parkside is facing Mardela at the right time seeing as Mardela is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Decatur, they will face off against Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Decatur is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.1 points per game this season.
