Baseball Recap: Cameron Comes Up Short

Cameron came into this matchup off a tough 13-run loss on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the East Hardy Cougars by a score of 8-6 on Saturday. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zayde Long made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played.

Cameron's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for East Hardy, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-14 record.

Coming up, Cameron will head out on the road to face off against Hundred at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.6 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for East Hardy, they will welcome Musselman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
