Recap: Central Bobcats vs. Metro Tech Knights
The Central Bobcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 60-38 margin over Metro Tech. The win was a breath of fresh air for Central as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Lia Sims was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 37 points, 13 rebounds, and nine steals. The match was her tenth in a row with at least ten points. Lushon Norris was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds.
Central's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8. As for Metro Tech, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will be home for the holidays to greet Glendale at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Metro Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
