Baseball Recap: Dothan Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Auburn, Dothan was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Houston Academy Raiders a 3-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Edmund Cody looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Dothan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayush Patel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The win got Dothan back to even at 2-2. As for Houston Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Dothan will try to stop Opelika's three-game winning streak when they meet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Houston Academy will take on Opp and their four-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
