Madeira waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Finneytown Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. That three set margin sets a new team best for the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS this season.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Madeira took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-6, 25-9.
Leading Madeira to victory were Claire Lutes and Dee Dee O'Malley. Lutes had five aces, while O'Malley had 22 assists and six aces. That's the most aces Lutes has posted since back in September of 2024.
Madeira's win bumped their record up to 4-0.
