Basketball Recap: Blue Ridge Christian Triumphs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Blue Ridge Christian had no problem doing just that on Friday. They secured a 52-48 W over the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Ospreys: they've now won four in a row.

Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan White, who posted 16 points and six rebounds. Adah Tuckwiller was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

Blue Ridge Christian's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.

Blue Ridge Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 32-25 defeat against Grace Christian on the 22nd. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-43 victory against Westover Christian Academy on the 22nd.
