Basketball Recap: David Hart's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kokomo Homeschool over HEA Firebirds Homeschool

After flying high against Anderson HomeSchool on Friday, Kokomo HomeSchool came back down to earth. The Kokomo HomeSchool Eagles took a 71-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of HEA Firebirds HomeSchool on Saturday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced HEA Firebirds HomeSchool earlier this season, when they won 76-62.

Kokomo HomeSchool's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Hart, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dane Beery, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Kokomo HomeSchool's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-7. As for HEA Firebirds HomeSchool, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

Kokomo HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 84-76 victory against Fort Wayne HomeSchool on the 1st. As for HEA Firebirds HomeSchool, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-50 win against Indianapolis Northwest W on the 1st.
