Cherokee suffers fifth straight loss at home

Recap: Cherokee Chiefs vs. Greeneville Greene Devils

The Cherokee Chiefs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 62-34 loss at the hands of Greeneville. Cherokee was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-10.

Kyla Jobe continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Greeneville, scoring 25 points along with four steals. Jobe hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Shaw, who scored 11 points along with seven steals.

Cherokee's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Greeneville, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-10.

Cherokee will head out on the road to take on the Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greeneville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. Grainger will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Greene Devils are ranked 98th).
