Basketball Game Preview: Porter Ridge Pirates vs. Monroe Redhawks

Having just played yesterday, the Porter Ridge Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Monroe Redhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Porter Ridge lost to Marvin Ridge at home by a 67-50 margin.

Meanwhile, Monroe took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 64-36 win over West Stanly. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redhawks.

Porter Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Monroe, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Porter Ridge didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Monroe when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Porter Ridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
