Grand Ledge had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They strolled past the Okemos Wolves with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-26. The Comets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Grand Ledge's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Okemos, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand Ledge will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Howell at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Okemos also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against St. Johns at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Okemos' defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so St. Johns' offense will have their work cut out for them.
