Baseball Game Preview: Reedsburg Beavers vs. Portage Warriors

For the second straight game, Reedsburg will face off against Portage. The Beavers will face off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Reedsburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Portage will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Reedsburg extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Beavers walked away with a 10-5 win over the Warriors.

Winston Alonso was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Alek Southworth, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Reedsburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Portage has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Reedsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.
