Basketball Recap: Logan Fisher Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

Panther Valley won the last time they faced Marian Catholic and things went their way on Saturday too. The Panther Valley Panthers came out on top against Marian Catholic by a score of 50-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Panther Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan FIsher, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 boards. Brady Jones was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points.

Panther Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marian Catholic only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

Despite the loss, Marian Catholic still got an impressive performance from Justin De La Cruz, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rocco Griguoli, who put up seven points.

Panther Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Marian Catholic, they moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Panther Valley will welcome Tamaqua at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Marian Catholic, they will host Mahanoy Area at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
