Volleyball Recap: New Prairie Victorious

New Prairie won the last time they faced South Bend Washington, and Josie Woodham did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cougars blew past the Panthers 3-0 on Thursday thanks in part to Woodham, who had nine digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: New Prairie took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-9, 25-9.

The victory got New Prairie back to even at 5-5. As for South Bend Washington, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, New Prairie will be taking part in a tournament against Chesterton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for South Bend Washington, they will take on La Lumiere at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
