Basketball Recap: Fulshear Takes a Loss

Fulshear fought the good fight in their overtime match against Randle on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Randle Lions 78-73. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Randle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamarion Jones-Chambers led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Jones-Chambers a new career-high in steals (two). David Anunne was another key player, putting up 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Fulshear dropped their record down to 7-13 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Randle, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Fulshear will look to defend their home court on December 17th against Alief Taylor at 7:00 p.m. As for Randle, they will head out to challenge Terry at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th. Randle is facing Terry at the right time seeing as Terry is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
