Baseball Game Preview: St. Peter's Eagles vs. Cardinal Hayes Cardinals

The St. Peter's Eagles will take on the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. St. Peter's will be strutting in after a victory while Cardinal Hayes will be coming in after a loss.

St. Peter's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over All Hallows. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Gaels: they've now won three in a row.

Louis Demontreux looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

St. Peter's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Cardinal Hayes, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

St. Peter's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Cardinal Hayes, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will St. Peter's continue to outrun the ball?
