Basketball Game Preview: Glendale Nitros vs. Burbank Bulldogs

Glendale and Burbank are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Glendale Nitros will challenge the Burbank Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Glendale is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since January 20, 2024 on Friday. They were outmatched by Crescenta Valley and fell 88-57. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (55), the Nitros still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Burbank, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging an 87-41 victory over Fillmore. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 30 points or more this season.

Burbank's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.0 points per game. As for Glendale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

Glendale didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Burbank when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 62-56 victory. Will Glendale repeat their success, or does Burbank have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
