Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Houston County). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Coffee Trojans 75-42. The win was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Josh Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 13 en route to 19 points. Malik Gillespie was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.
Houston County was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coffee only racked up ten assists.
Coffee's loss came despite strong showings from Jeremiah Bazell and Brax Carson. Bazell went 7 of 14 on his way to 17 points and seven boards, while Carson almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Bazell has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.
