Fountain-Fort Carson found their leader in underclassman Da'Kari Releford Jr, who rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrence Morris, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown.
Overland's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Overland was able to grind out a solid win over Fountain-Fort Carson in their previous meeting back in September of 2019, winning 29-21. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Fountain-Fort Carson's Dezmen Oliver, who rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 55 receiving yards and a touchdown.
