Navasota took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Brenham, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rattlers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Cubs on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rattlers have posted since October 1, 2024.

Navasota had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-21, 15-11.

Navasota now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Brenham, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Navasota will challenge Somerville at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Brenham, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Celina on the 14th.
