Basketball Recap: Bryson Shrader's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dade County over Fannin County

Dade County was the 63-51 winner over Fannin County when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Dade County Wolverines took a hard 64-46 fall against the Fannin County Rebels on Wednesday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dade County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bryson Shrader, who went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hutchinson Garmany, who posted five points and nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, Dade County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Dade County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Fannin County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-7.

Dade County has already played their next game, a 78-21 win against Dalton Academy on the 31st. As for Fannin County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-36 victory against Gordon Lee on the 31st.
