Baseball Recap: Friends Select Comes Up Short

Masterman hit Friends Select with a six-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Falcons came up short against the Dragons, falling 12-6. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Van Dolan-Kirkland and Miles Lesser stepped up to the plate in a big way. Dolan-Kirkland got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Lesser went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those runs were Dolan-Kirkland's first of the season.

Friends Select's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Masterman, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Friends Select will take on Academy of the New Church at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Masterman, they will face off against MAST Charter II at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
