Hylton has been on a difficult stretch since their win on March 17. They fell just short of the Gar-Field Red Wolves by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Hylton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 164th, while Gar-Field are ranked 14th).

Hylton's loss dropped their record down to 1-4-2. As for Gar-Field, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hylton is set to take on their familiar foe Potomac Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Gar-Field will challenge rival Woodbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
