Volleyball Recap: Dobie Takes a Loss

Dobie lost against Clear Creek back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Longhorns came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Dobie was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-23, 25-19.

Clear Creek had a senior duo take command as Elissa James had 17 digs and two aces and Brooke Fowler had six aces and four digs. With that strong performance, James is now averaging an impressive 10.3 digs per game. Camdyn Cole also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Dobie now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Clear Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Coming up, Dobie will square off against Manvel at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Longhorns their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Clear Creek, they will take on Canyon in a tournament on Thursday.
