Stayton won against Cascade on Thursday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Sweet Home Huskies a 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Stayton is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Sweet Home, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Stayton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 25-4 win against Newport on the 7th. As for Sweet Home, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-10 victory against Philomath on the 7th.
