Volleyball Game Preview: Yorkville Foxes vs. Champaign Central Maroons

The Yorkville Foxes will take on the Champaign Central Maroons in a tournament on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Yorkville had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Glenbard West. The defeat continues a trend for the Foxes in their meetings with the Hilltoppers: they've now lost four in a row.

While Yorkville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Champaign Central also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to St. Thomas More by a score of 2-0.

Champaign Central was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23.
