Baseball Recap: Hardee Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hardee extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 11-9. They came out on top against the Mulberry Panthers by a score of 4-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-2 back in March.

The result came thanks to Wyatt Beattie's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryland Beumel, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Hardee: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-9 otherwise.

As for Mulberry, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16. While getting shut out isn't ideal, they haven't been shut out since back in February.

On Mulberry's side, they got a good showing from Payton Carpenter, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Hardee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against Avon Park on the 7th. As for Mulberry, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-5 defeat against Discovery on the 3rd.
