Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for San Diego

San Diego had won three straight games and Isaiah Marte did his part to make it four on Tuesday. The San Diego Cavers had just enough and edged the Eastlake Titans out 57-55 thanks in part to Marte, who posted 19 points and four steals. His evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Treyshawn Degrate, who had 15 points. Those 15 points gave him a new career-high.

San Diego pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Eastlake, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

San Diego has already played their next match, a 69-58 loss against Christian on the 31st. As for Eastlake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 89-27 defeat against Montgomery on the 31st.
