Basketball Recap: Castle View Takes a Loss

Castle View lost against ThunderRidge back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Castle View Sabercats came up short against the ThunderRidge Grizzlies, falling 38-16. The game marked the Sabercats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lizzy Mroz was Castle View's leading scorer, having posted four points. Mikayla Vigilante held things down on the boards with three rebounds.

ThunderRidge was led to victory by Candace 'Cc' Baker and Elly Daniels. Baker went 6 of 14 on her way to 15 points, while Daniels posted six points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Daniels a new career-high in assists. Claire Wilson was another key player, putting up four points.

Castle View's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12. As for ThunderRidge, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Castle View wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-38 defeat against Legend on the 31st. As for ThunderRidge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-44 loss against Rock Canyon on the 31st.
