Football Recap: Hemphill Takes a Loss

If Hemphill was feeling good fresh off their 57-8 takedown of KIPP Houston two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets were beaten by the Timpson Bears 55-0 on Friday. Considering the last time the Hornets couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Hemphill's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Timpson, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Hemphill will head out to challenge Joaquin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Timpson, they will venture away from home to square off against Shelbyville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears will be up against the Dragons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.83 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
