Baseball Recap: Nashua South Gets the Win

While Nashua South's victory against Keene wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Purple Panthers won by a run and slipped past the Blackbirds 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Brendon Doighty spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Leo Depaolo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Demers, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Nashua South's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Keene, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nashua South will challenge rival Nashua North at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Keene is set to square off against their familiar foe Bedford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
