Southeastern is 5-0 against Wellston since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Southeastern Panthers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Wellston Golden Rockets at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

It was a proper cat-fight when Southeastern duked it out withWaverly on Friday. Southeastern fell just short of Waverly by a score of 45-43.

Meanwhile, Wellston came up short against Waterford last Friday and fell 65-53.

Wellston has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Southeastern, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

Southeastern skirted past Wellston 65-63 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Will Southeastern repeat their success, or does Wellston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
