Basketball Recap: Fall River Comes Up Short

If Fall River was feeling good fresh off their 73-46 takedown of Princeton/Green Lake last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fall River Pirates fell 60-51 to the Dodgeland Trojans on Friday. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in January of 2021.

Fall River's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Dodgeland, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fall River will square off against Poynette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Poynette knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Fall River likes a good challenge. Dodgeland has already played their next matchup (against Princeton/Green Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
